Amanda studied and graduated from “The Australian film and television academy” in Sydney Australia, from there she did extensive studies in London before moving to Los Angeles.
Currently keeping herself busy with script writing and navigating her way into directing, all the while continuing to enjoy classes for stand-up comedy, on camera classes, and scenes study classes, constantly working at her craft. A world away from her upbringing in the outback of Western Australia.
She co-wrote and co-produced her first short film in 2010, One Day in LA, which led to her next three short films, Vacillate (writer/director), The Gift (writer/director) and What Future (writer/actor). This is where her love was ignited to expand and write story. The following years consisted of her writing two feature length films, both of which have been optioned to producers.
Amanda’s recent work has consisted of writing and creating feature films, short films and a 30-minute comedy/drama episodic concept for TV.
Amanda worked as an associate producer on Drive Hard starring John Cusack and from there she landed a role on the West Australian film The Reckoning starring Luke Hemsworth in 2013.
At the beginning of 2016 she returned home to film the lead role in a Western Australian film “Tainted Getaway”. To be released early 2017. She has recently come on board as the associate producer on the film “Holiday in Cambodia”. This film is due to be shot in Cambodia by start of next year.
In the past year Amanda has completed the feature length film Chasing Aliens (creator/director), which is now in negotiations with distribution companies.
